The Liquid to Air system works by transferring the charge air heat (from turbocharger or supercharger) to a liquid coolant, this coolant is then pumped to a remotely located heat exchanger where ambient cooling air removes the heat. The obvious advantage with this system is that you can optimally position your heat exchanger in the cooling air stream, regardless of the location of the engine or associated space limitations. Mid and Rear Engine Intercooling Solutions The Liquid/Air intercooler system presents obvious advantages for mid and rear engine applications where space and airflow issues can often prevent the use of an effective Air/Air intercooler system. | Warranty Description | <b>1 Year Limited Warranty Details</b><br><br>Bell Intercoolers offers a one-year replacement warranty against manufacturer defects on all air-to-air intercooler cores, intercooler assemblies and bolt-on intercooler systems.<br><br>Liquid-to-air intercooler cores, if leak tested by Bell Intercoolers, are covered by our one-year replacement warranty against manufacturer defects. Liquid-to-air intercooler cores, if sold without being pressure tested, are not covered under warranty. While we take every possible pre-caution to ensure high quality and leak-free cores, the possibility of a leak, though small, exists. Unfortunately, leaks may not be detected until the liquid-caps, and/or the air-side end-tanks are welded onto the core.<br><br>Hence, if you choose to purchase the liquid-to-air cores only, we are not able to perform a leak-test; therefore, we recommend that only experienced welders, able to repair a core leak, perform welding on liquid-to-air cores and be willing to make any leak repairs without reimbursement from Bell Intercoolers; you are assuming the responsibility to repair a potential core-leak.
